Born in 1978 in Kyoto. Lives and works in Saitama.
He completed graduate degree in Sculpture at Kyoto City University of the Arts. In 2007, a solo exhibition “Kaneuji Teppei: splash & flake” was held at Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum Studio. He also participated in group exhibitions: “All About Laughter: Humor in Contemporary Art” at Mori Art Museum, Tokyo, and “Beautiful New World: Current Japanese Visual Culture” at Long March Space, Inter Arts Center, Tokyo Gallery + BTAP, Beijing, Guangdong Museum of Art, Guangzhou. In 2008, he participated in many exhibitions, including “MOT Annual 2008 Unraveling and Revealing” at Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.” He also participated in the Yokohama Triennale 2005 alongside Kimura Yuki and Iikawa Takehiro, as the artist unit COUMA.
