ヨコハマ創造都市センター（YCC）は、横浜の代表的な歴史的建造物である
「旧第一銀行横浜支店（1929年建造）」を活用したプロジェクト。

文化芸術のもつ創造性をまちづくりに活かし,持続可能な都市の成長を目指す横浜市の
創造都市政策 「クリエイティブシティ・ヨコハマ」 の推進のために、横浜市と公益財団
法人横浜市文化芸術振興財団は、横浜に集うアーティストやクリエーター、NPO、市民、
企業、学校など、様々な創造活動を繰り広げる人たち（創造の担い手）が活動しやすい
環境づくりを行う中間支援事業として、『アーツコミッション・ヨコハマ』（ＡＣＹ）をスタート、
ワンストップ相談窓口、助成プログラムなどを展開してきました。

今後も、さらにクリエイティブシティの動きを進めるには、創造の担い手の活動を、
文化芸術だけでなく、産業振興などの多様な分野とつなげていくことが必要です。

そこで、これまでＡＣＹが担ってきた文化芸術を中心とした機能だけでなく、まちづくり・産業
などの分野における機能も持ち、クリエイティブシティの推進を総合的に行うため、中間支
援事業の拡大と充実を目指して、平成21年度から新たに『ヨコハマ創造都市センター』
（YCC）を設置しました。
YCCは、"人々が出会い、交流と創造が育まれる場となること"を目指して、創造の担い手
たちの活動を強力にサポートします。

Yokohama Creativecity Center (YCC) is a project based in the former Yokohama premises of
the Dai-Ichi Bank, one of the city's foremost heritage buildings.

The City of Yokohama has adopted a "Creative City" strategy channeling artistic and cultural
creativity into revitalization of parts of the city and their communities.
To achieve this aim of urban renewal through the arts and creative industries, the City of
Yokohama and the Yokohama Arts Foundation established Arts Commission Yokohama (ACY)
as an intermediary between the municipal authorities and local communities.
ACY's role is to make the city an even more user-friendly location for artists and other creatives,
NPOs, local residents, companies, schools--in other words everyone vital to Yokohama's future
as a creative hub--by providing a one-stop shop for advice on art-related activities, and a range
of assistance programs.

ACY is now expanding from the arts into industry promotion and wider urban renewal,
and to facilitate a more integrated approach to the Creative City concept has set up
the Yokohama Creativecity Center(YCC).
YCC aims to provide comprehensive support to Yokohama's creative sector by offering a place
where people can meet and mingle, with creative and inspiring results.
