「10人のミラクル・トランペッター」のザウター氏からメッセージが届きました
世界中から集まった凄腕ラッパ吹きたちの競演「10人のミラクル・トランペッター」は、
1991年、ピッコロ・トランペットの名手であるオットー・ザウターのアイディアから誕生しました。
I have never been to Yokohama, but had several invitations to come to this important and beautiful city in Japan. First of all, I had trumpet students who invited me to visit them and their families and I will have the occasion to meet them after the concert. Secondly, I am a friend of Dr. Theo Zwanziger the President of the Germany Soccer Association and Dr. h.c. Egidius Braun, the Honorary President. When Germany played against Brazil in the final during the soccer world championship 2002 in Yokohama, I was invited to see the match, but unfortunately could not come. It was certainly a sad day for the German soccer team to come there, since they lost the match, but I am sure, that it will be a wonderful day for us to play in the renowned Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall.

横浜には行ったことがありませんが、日本で重要な位置を占める、そして美しいこの街に招待されたことは何度かありました。
一度目は私が教えたトランペットの学生たちです。彼らとそして彼らの家族に招かれました。
今回は演奏会の後、彼らに会う機会が持てるのではないかと思っています。
二度目は私の友人である、ドイツサッカー連盟の会長、テオ・ツヴァンツイガー教授と、同じく名誉会長であるエギディウス・ブラウン名誉教授に招かれました。
2002年W杯でドイツがブラジルと横浜で決勝戦を行った時、私は彼らに試合を見ないかと招かれましたが、残念ながら行くことは叶いませんでした。
この日はドイツ・サッカーチームにとって横浜にいることは、本当に悲しい一日でした。なぜなら、試合に負けてしまったからです。
ですが、私達にとって、素晴らしいホールとして有名な横浜みなとみらいホールで演奏する一日は、喜ばしい一日になると確信しています。
